New York Stories
Matt Keegan sent out the following call for submissions on September 20th, 2009 at 8:44pm:
I am e-mailing you, to assemble a program of short videos (2-3 minutes) that depict your engagement with New York City. The content of your short is completely up to you. I am open to you zine makers contributing storyboard-type publications instead of actual video, and will also accept sound-based pieces.
I can provide you with a mini-dv tape, and my crappy digital video camera if you don't have one. Other than that, I can't help you with supplies or editing assistance. Some of you are not film or video-makers, but all of your various mappings of the city (Brooklyn, Queens, or otherwise... Roosevelt Island?) would be interesting to watch/read/hear. I am open to collaborations, and collaborations with people not included on this list. It should be handled as a fun and stress-free exercise. New York is your town!
Participating artists include, among others:
Becca Albee and Mary Ping
Lucio Castro
Milano Chow and Megan Plunkett
Josh Clark and Molly Smith
Anna Craycroft
Anne Eastman
Sara Greenberger Rafferty
Chip Hughes
Laura Kleger and Justin Schwarz
Ori Kleiner
